Rabbit Run Inn has been awarded “Gold” Green Leader status by TripAdvisor 2013 and 2014.

Rabbit Run Inn was built in 2007-2008 and opened in May, 2008. The owners designed and built the Inn to address environmental concerns and reduce the Inn’s carbon footprint. Read more to find out what else we are doing.

  • Geothermal heating and cooling plant (2008); individual thermostat controls
  • Inn is double-insulated to reduce sound and energy consumption
  • Remnant stone counters on bathroom vanities and wet bars
  • Recyclable flooring
  • Faucet-installed water filters (2013)
  • LED Bulbs in all rooms (2013)
  • Certified Eco-friendly linens
  • Environmentally sensitive bathroom products
  • Eco-friendly cleaning agents
  • Pond (excavated in 2007) abutting natural wetland and habitat
  • Thirty trees “recycled and replanted” by culling from “overgrown” nearby tree orchard
  • Certified as a natural habitat by the National Wildlife Federation for our successful efforts to create a larger ecosystem on our property

    Rabbit Run Inn is a Recycling Partner of Clean the World, an organization that reprocesses unused soap and soap products to victims of preventable diseases
